What about at 35hz? 30hz?

Making the enclosure too small will really limit low frequency extension while giving you a peak in the upper frequencies. It sounds like this box is doing just that.

Well I wanted the box designed for higher bass notes since I don't listen to rap and such, hence the box did what it was supposed to. I played some Techmaster PEB for kicks and it got very low and made my eyeballs rumble, but I did not test that on the TL.

So the bottom octaves are only for rap? That's pretty ironic seeing as how I listen to more music with thick bottom end that isn't rap than I do that is rap.

OK My two RL-P 12's are in a 4.1cu ft box with 77.5sq in of port area. I think that my box and the port is a little too big for the power I have.

Sometimes they will bottom out at full volume, even playing near tuning. So his box might be a pretty good match for the 12's.

Edit. I'm hitting a 148.3 TL with my box. So I win!

freakin' aye, didn't know i was reading an old thread this whole time.

i hope robin got a new roundover bit since then. Also, robin, you might want to paint the port before carpeting. it takes the worries out of getting paint on the carpet.

i also think that is a very small box for two 12"s. My single 12" is seeing 2.7 cubes.

i also hope ghart999 is being sarcastic about rap and lower octaves.

Yes I am joking. I am just preferring some extra trunk room over higher SLP at lower frequency. I find I have plenty of low freq. movement to satisfy my needs.
