Hey guys, I have a question that has been bugging me for a while. I've done a few searches, but haven't found anything solid, so I figure I'll ask it. Looking at Gauntlet's 1000+ watt amp post, I noticed that the Profile 1200sx was the cheapest on the list. After doing some research, it appears that Profile is a great value brand and most people agree that they put out near the rated power. I found this very interesting because many of the other amps putting out similar power were well into the hundreds of dollars. So, if Profile amps really do put out their rated power, why does everyone spend so much more money to get amps like the JBL 1200.1 that do the same thing? Do Profiles break? Are they not stable to the correct loads? Let me know what you think, any light shed on the subject will be a great help on my next amplifier purchase.
