producing a 4ohm load

my amp can't handle no less than 4 ohms for a mono hook so this is my problem-

iight I got 2 4 ohm dvc speakers, im going to wire them seperately so each can produce 8 ohms (because I cant wire them to get 4 ohms together because of how my box is built theres like a layer of wood seperating the 2 speakers), now when I hook these 2 8 ohm speakers in mono would my final load be 4 ohms or would it still be 2 ohms. I tried using the calculators on the net but the shit wasn't workin.

if you series the connections on the woofers you will get an 8 ohm impedance on each. When you parallell the two woofers together, you will end up at your desired 4 ohm impedance.

I cant wire them together because of my box. so i was tryin to see if i can wire each sub @ 8 ohms and bridge all 4 wires to get a 4 ohm load

Wire each driver to 8 ohms, and wire them in parallel outside the box. Poof - 4 ohm load.

It doesn't matter if you can run wires inside the box or not, you can always change the configuration outside the box.
