I am looking to get a processor for my car. I already have a 9855 in my car and im kinda torn on what to do, so I would like to get everyone opinions. I am looking at:

Audiocontrol DQS (keep the 9855)

Pioneer P9 combo (loose the 9855 obviously)

Alpine PXA-h700 (get the controller and the processor)

Thanks for everyones opinions //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

are you gonna get the complete h700 set right if you go that route? meaning both the processor and controller. out the 3, the h700 might be the cheapeast and best overall choice. but the h700/h701 is known for inducing some floor noise but its kinda a hit and miss with it. some have it, some don't. market value for a full complete h700 is around 350-400 so i think thats the best option right now.

Yes i would get the set. The audio control DQS is 370 shipped to me(wouldnt need to get nething else, also not really looking price wise right now. Just concerned with performance). I am already running active with my 9855...thanks for the input //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

ic, if you aren't concerned with price may i suggest either getting that h700 combo along with the alpine 7996 which has optical out so then you can run your music digitially //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. or get the p9 combo and run your music digitially as well.

I am strongly considering it, but i am an die hard alpine lover (except the new stuff which is crap)

I'm not really sure why you would want to run the H701 through the auxillary input on the 8053. That would completely defeat the purpose of the H701, since you wouldn't be able to use any of the xover or time alignment functions.
The 8053 does, however, have digital coaxial output. Since the H701 doesn't accept coaxial in but does accept toslink (optical) input, partsexpress has a coaxial to toslink convertor for around $25, and a gentleman called Kev7909 on ECA can mod it to 12V DC for you for like $20 (I had him do this for me). That would work out really well, since most of the problems associated with the H701 (noise floor, etc) are all related to the analog inputs....plus you would have the advantage of running digital the entire length of the vehicle (no induced noise).

But yeah....Eclipse 8053 + Digi Out + C701 + H701 = Great combination
Here is some of the post I was talking about.

I chose the P9 however. I like both the P9 and H700/701 combos. I chose what was cheaper for me and what I though was the better deal.
dont you have the euro version? How do you like it? Either way the two will cost about the same for me so im not to concerned with that.

No I have the US version. I love it.

I am also learning towards to p9 to run a 4 way active.
H701 can run 4 way active. You use the rear and bandpass them as the mid-bass settings. Works perfectly.

+for 701...5.1 if you are into moble video

P9 doesnt have that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Other then that the crossoevers on the 701 are a tad more versitile, but nothing way better.

701 has parametric and graphic EQing

P9 has dual 30 graphic

I think the p9 is the way to go since i wont need the controller. I would like to find the euro version tho //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Your radio stations wont work correctly without an adapter, then you want get all the stations. You will be limited to a small band range.

What is a p-90 ? I keep hearing mention of it as if it's an updated p9 or something //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
