Problems with system installation

I put in my new setup, which consists of an old school alpine 4 ch, rockford 1000, and a JL w6, running on a hc2000 (and stock bat of course)

I'm getting bad engine whine, and the CEL came up. I'm guessing its a ground loop issue, but my old systems have been connected the same way, with out any problems....

And another thing thats REALLY bothering me. My headunit is the Kenwood DDX 616, and hardly any sound comes out til volume 22/35, and the sub doesn't start really hitting til nearly full tilt. I messed with the gains, with no luck, its still the same.

dID YOU DISCONNECT THE BATTERY WHILE INSTALLING. yOU MAY HAVE GROUNDED OUT YOUR rca CABLES. TRY NEW RCA CABLES. MAY HAVE MESSED YOUR HU UP AS WELL IF YOU GROUND IT OUT WHILE STILL HAD POWER TO IT. JUST FROM MY EXP. WITH PIONEER HU

Nope I didn't, I've never disconnected it and have never had problems (ive had lik 7 setups in this car)

thats because you have a kenwood, pioneer had issues with the pico fuse.

Try a different ground and see if it fixes it. My highs amp "broke" and caused me to get a feedback whine once.

This is really the only good ground in my car though....everything else is too far, or doesn't work. And, I've grounded over 10 amps here, and none have given me any trouble.....

Could it be that from the battery, theres only one run of 1/0 to the ground, while theres 4 and 8 gauge going to the battery terminal? should i add and extra run to the ground?
