Problems with speaker sound.

I had my subs in a bad spot and there wasnt much rattling or shaking until a couple of days ago when i modified my trunk to fit them in correctly. now there is alot of shaking and when the subs go loud and it starts to vibrate the car my speakers sort of cut out for a second and it sounds odd. Im positive its from teh speakers and it started out not so bad and now i cant even play songs with alot of vibrations in the bass becuase my speakers cut out. i have a pioneer HU and my riend said they have problems with their grounds. Could the shaking of my car have shaken the grounds loose and now when it vibrates thats cutting out the speakers? If it is how can i fix this problem for i do not know where to go to solve this problem. some of the sound is from vibrations but i know for a fact the speakers are cutting out. id appreciate any input from anyone who is willing to help.

are your speakers hooked up to an amp? could be the headunit skipping from the bass or poor speaker wiring.

no they are not hooked up to an amp but powered from the HU. could the bass cause skipping? and if so how can i resolve this?

Let's clarify this... You have your subwoofers connected directly to your HU?

yes they are. i talked to a guy at circuit city today he thinks either the HU or speaker somewhere is grounding out.

im his friend. i said that pioneers sometimes have grounding problems. a fix to this is to ground the rcas.( i read it quick). no, he has them hooked up to an ma audio amp pushing 800wrms. there not amped. they were perfectly fine until he moved the subs and, alot of vibrations and shaking came into play. he talked to someone at best buy and they think they could possibly be grounding out for a quick second. it only does this when he turn the volume up a bit. at lower levels there fine.(atleast they were when i heard them).
