Problems with Kenwood

I have the Kenwood kdc-cps81 Excelon 10 disc changer and I was wonderring if anyone else has had the same problem with their Kenwood units, when it gets to cold outside anywhere between 60-68 degree's, my changer won't read the disc's in it and it doesn't matter if they are burners or store brought, the display simply shows the disc number and nothing else. weird...

try looking over your wiring...tighten everything down as best as you can

that might fix your problem

im from wisconsin and when you say "cold" and 60-68 in a sentence its kind of funny

thats perfect weather

its like 30 here now

im not sure about this prob. at 60 degrees, but my pioneer changer used to do that when it was in the trunk(and alot colder), i have since moved it ito the glove box and for the most part it has stoped. try warming the changer. i found that when i wouls turn on the changer when it is cold the heat from the components inside would cause fog on the cd's. give the changer a min or two to warm up and it should be fine.

Actually I was mistaken about the temp outside, it's more like 52-56 degrees. The wirings perfect so is the mounting, it's just the low temp. I'm really thinking that my unit may be faulty because I've had other Kenwood changers as well as other brands that worked just fine when the temp dropped.
