problems with box/wall build....

There is not really a whole lot I can change if I rebuild it. About all I can change is increase the depth 4.5 inches.

Could someone design me a box with the dimensions of the box I have now?

The box is 42" wide, 14" deep, and 32" tall.

I think I could change the port fairly easy.

Wanting it tuned for comp then make a plug for daily.

You want to compete? You really think you are gonna be much competition with a box that was fubar'd to begin with, and butchered to try and salvage? Meanwhile you'll be 'competing' against guys that likely have half a dozen boxes in their garage they tried using before they found the 'perfect' one.
Good luck.

haha well thanks for all the help guys! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

Like I said it would pretty much be pointless to do a rebuild because the only thing I could change is the box depth. I could increase it 4 1/2 inches.

I could change the port though.

And by the way I would do pretty good competing in the organization that I will be competing in. Its dbfordollars and they go by the msrp on your amp.

I guess I will just get help from somewhere else.

I doubt you will even break 148 with that wall so no I dont think you will be doing good at all. Im being honest and that 4.5" makes you go from ~10.5 cubes net to around 14 cubes net which is a big different.
Im doing a 149 something on the TL from the trunk.

We know he is trying and ive been in his situation and am currently. If people offer him help he should take it. Honestly it will hurt his score not to rebuild. Right now his box peaks really bad at around 60-70hz most likely. If he messes with the port and makes it smaller all that wall will do is be a giant sealed box with a leak. And theres a big difference in a properly built box in a trunk vs a poorly built wall.
Again I dont see the point in rebuilding the box if the only thing I can change is the depth. I dont care to take it apart a little bit and do some changes to the port. Thats what I'm expecting to do. I just see no point in rebuilding it completely.

Id personally keep everything and rip the face off and rebuild the face. You dont have the depth to do a straight port without getting some port noise. Rip the face off and buid with port driver side not in the middle. That will improve scores as well. Or even stack the subs and now you have alot of room to mess with your port
yeah port in the middle is ****ing you put it on the drivers side and its alot easier to adjust and work with.

Alright. I dont care to make it about 4 inches deeper if I have to. That wouldn't be all that hard. Then if the port doesn't need to be in the middle then I guess I can put it somewhere else. I have just usually always seen it in the middle.

So could someone just make me a new design?

Here is what I have now:

Can make it 4 1/2" deeper IF necessary.

Just tune it to something that would be good for comps, then just tell me what kind of plug I need to make to cut the tuning down to 35 hz or so for daily.

I would rather not stack the subs either.

I would greatly appreciate it.
