problems with battery...

So I jump the batt and it starts. The battery is pretty much new just bought it last year. Is it JUST the battery or is it something else along with the battery?

for some reason ever since i took my audio stuff out, my battery has been acting up..cant sit out and listen to the radio for no more than like 2 mins and then it goes dead and it wont start..

just turned my parking lights on to take pics and not even 30 secs later i went to start it and its dead, nothing...not even trying to turn over.. =\

I had the chevy place replace it as soon as i bought it..so it should be good...but im thinking it may just be the battery, if so that will be an easy fix...

right now i got a diehard 850 under the hood...think it would be good to upgrade?

im wanting to get a red or yellow top just for my truck, not for any audio except my cd player...

I'd go w/ a YT, get your alt checked as well, if it's taking a crap on you it's not going to charge your batt.

ok..will do tomorrow then...but also...when i move the negative or positive cable on the battery it makes my hood light dim a little...and it was doing it when we tried to jump start it...

all connections are secured and everything...looked everywheres i could to look for cuts in the cables but didnt see anything..

You may have shorted the battery when taking out the audio equipment. An upgrade would be nice. I doubt it is the alt since it is dieing without being started.

mmmk...well imma take it to the chevy dealership tomorrow and have them look at it..i got a coupon thing in the mail wanting me to come over there and let them service it so i may do it..but as of right now i see a YT upgrade in the very near future

nope..took em off and soaked them in alcohol and srubs them up good, look brand new

havent had any experience with kinetics either...but i wil prolly just go with the yellow or red......but quick question..my cables are for side post...is it better to run top post or side post? or does it even matter?

shouldnt really matter. red tops should have both top and side mount options
