Problems with bass please help !

So I have two sundown 12s older model, fosgate 1500 amp.

Been using these subs nicely for a few years now.

Dual battery under the hood ran to eachother.

Last week a friend was working on truck and played the system for atleast a couple hours (bass was at -15 so low)

When I left his place my check gages light was on and my battery was below half in the dash , after a couple drives the light went off and JUST above half the reader shows now.

But ever since my subs sound like garbage !!

What's the deal?

well could be volts dropped and clipped sub.. do subs share airspace is so 1 coulda went out, if they don't share airspace unplug 1 at a time see if 1 sounds worse.. u sure no wires were moved or + &- switched just check it.. and check settings on hu as well

Your friend probably owes you some new subs. We're you with him? He ran your system with the car off? Maybe he turned the subs up, and then back down before you got it back. Knowing the voltage dropped so low is concerning, might be lucky your Amp still works. Or your Amp could be messed up causing the subs to sound like poop.

Take the subs out and check the impedance if each voice coil with a dmm. You can also push tho cone in and make sure there is no rubbing or that one isn't completely seized up.

So he was playing the stereo with the car off. Battery voltage was low. After driving your alt re charged battery.

Check your inline fuse. I once melted one and it didn't pop the fuse. Amp was getting 9 volts and subs sounded terrible. Replaced the fuse holder and all was good.

He drained your batteries with vehicle off while stereo was running. Never a good thing to do. Great friend.
