Problems with amps after car battery died

Hi guys, my problem is that one day last week i left my light on in my car when i went to work and the battery died. Got a jump start and went to to put in my security disc for the cd player i noticed i had no sound. Checked the amps and the protect led's were on. The amps are both Infinity.....one is a 611a mono and i have a 4 ch. (dont remember the model). There is also a distribution block and a 1 farad cap in the system. I checked all the wiring and it seemed fine. So i tried some trouble shooting and found that if i put a jumper from the power lead onto the signal port both amps come off protect....but when i remove the jumper both amps will play for about 3-5 secs and the go back into protect. Any suggestions on what would be the issue?? Any comments are apprieciated and thanks in advanced.
