A single 15 isn't an option I would like to explore just yet.

I need ideas on a single amp to fit where my current amp sits. I want one amp (if possible) for both subs.

look for a tantrum 1200.1 or a orion 1200d

I just wasn't sure if it was over rated or under rated. I would rather tell him he is getting 1000 when he gets 1400, then tell him he will get 1400 and have him end up with 1000. I just don't want anyone coming back to me saying, you said it would put out 1400rms and it is only giving me 1000! That is why I just say around 1000.

I need one amp for the 2 subs. Will either of those work? My truck is wired with 0/1 wire. So its ready for most any sub.

Ive heard the KX2500.1 is able to go lower than 1ohm and be stable, you might be able to get away with wiring the kx1250.1 at .5 and not have any problems.

The amp does nearly 1500 real power (probably 1600-1800 at .5ohm), 800-900 watts per sub would be VERY loud, they can handle more but it would still be a very loud setup till you could afford another amp.

Just throwing my ideas out there, I might be wrong so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

i'm pretty sure that the kx 2500.1 does power at 2 ohms. i think your talking about the orion 2500d.
