Pretty sure i just blew my sub..

So the screw came off the terminal of the box while i was driving and all of a sudden there was no bass. so when i stopped i looked and noticed the melted terminal. amp works fine with another sub.. sub wont play on another amp. replaced the terminal too..

My question is where or what part of the sub is broken or fried? i see no burns thru the wire anywhere.

its a dd3512 w/ connected leads..

verify that the speaker leads inside the box are still okay

Jus got a dmm.. one side wont read and the other side reads 2.0 ohms

Well that means infinite resistance. So either you blew a coil or the tinsel/hookup is disconnected in some way. I'd say it's time for a recone.
