Premium prefab box

Say if you're really short on time and has no garage or a power saw, would you buy one of those premium prefab boxes that are actually built well? I hate prefab boxes as much as any other serious enthusiasts but some do look promising. Here are some examples that I found on eBay

PROBOX 12" DUAL SUPER BASS SUBWOOFER BOX 4 CVX P3 T1 T2 - eBay (item 260477564004 end time Apr-13-10 08:17:03 PDT)

DUAL 12" CUSTOM-VENTED SUB BOX ENCLOSURE 5.0 ft^3@34Hz - eBay (item 200442605774 end time Mar-24-10 11:06:09 PDT)

NEW CAR DUAL 12" VENTED PAINTED ENCLOSURE SUB BOX U - eBay (item 310205350807 end time Apr-06-10 17:27:10 PDT)

Not gonna lie, I'm sort of lazy sometimes especially when it comes to getting something for myself. I need a new box for my custom 12" TC Sounds subs that needs 2 to 4 cubic feet each and tuned to 35Hz, but it's finally nice out in Wisconsin so I'd rather be drinking or something //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif

I just emailed the seller asking the thickness and port area of the dual 12" 5.0 cubic feet vented box, ha his knowledge is gonna be put to da test.

Oh and the guys who upgraded my subs said the specs should be close to a 12" Audiopulse Axis, and on their website it says up to 2.1cf for vented. Not sure if that's really big enough to hit the super lows though.

Audiopulse

The last box that I listed in my first post actually lists the thickness and you can see the face plate is twice as thick, and the port looks fairly long in one of the pictures. Can anyone do some math and verify that these boxes are actually as big in internal volume as they say?

If your lazy, dont get into car audio
We dont need anymore bums

thanks

Oh look at this homeboy who thinks he's so motivated, sorry that I got tired of doing three installs back to back then 20 hours on my own Deville, so if I want to take a break and have a beer then I'm going to have one or ten. This is my hobby, not my job, but I did score a 148.8dB in my last car on an AC mic so it'd be the low 40s on a Termlab. Yeah, I'm a lazy 140ish street beater, better hope I stay lazy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

the best prefab boxes ive seen around around are from atrend. they have a some pretty high quality boxes, and if your into the whole flashy thing they got that too.

they use 3/4" or 1" hardwood mdf on all their enclosures.

you can look on their website or call them up, they know their stuff.

Have a beer out in the sun while making a box. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
