Premier DEH-P730.. screen blackout, powersaver mode?

I got this HU a long time ago and within the first couple days of me using it the screen ''went out''. I thought maybe I got unlucky and the screen was dead. Well I replaced it with a 9855 and when I had just got it playing around I accidently found the ''power saver mode'' where the screen would go black. It got me wondering if maybe I did the same thing on this Premier and just don't know it.

Anybody who owns this have input? I tried to find a manual online for it but haven't had any luck.
