Precision power a900 power and ground question

Hi there. I referenced the instruction manual but it didn't say anything as to the gauge of wire that the connector would except for power and ground. Also, there are two power terminals into ground terminals. I'm assuming that they're doing this because area is so compact, but wouldnt it have been easier to do one connector for each? It's almost like I have to reduce my larger wire (most likely 8 gauge) down to 2 smaller gauge wires. Also the power and ground are so close together. The amp is cues for 60 amps yet the wiring is tiny!
