Not really. A processor does more than anything.

Not at all.

the only thing it can help with SQ is that it helps reduce the perceived induced noise in the system and can sometimes help drive the amps to full power a little easier perhaps, or so it seems in some cases.....

just allows you to turn down the input gain(s) on the next piece in the chain

more volts usualy = a cleaner signal with less noise .. the lower u can keep gains the less noise u have the hight the input voltage the less u got to crank on the gain
