pre outs

Hey i was looking into getting an avic-d1. The question i have is im going to be running 4 10" type r's off a orion 2500d, and the d1 had 3 pre outs but are only 2v pre outs......so is this not going to work out? sorry im a noob i just dont understand exactly what the pre outs are going to make a diffrence of.. Would i be better off finding something with more that 2v or is not going to make much of a diffrence?

A 2 volt pre-out will usually work fine, the only time that you really need a higher pre-out voltage is if you have any noise interference (Just run you rca's away from the power cable).

All preout voltage does is make for a cleaner signal. If you have noise with the 2v preouts you can run your rca's separete from power wire or purchase a line driver.

All preout voltage really determines is where the gain on the amp needs set. On some amps, the higher the gain setting, the higher the noise will be from it.

That's a myth.

or purchase a line driver.

Only thing that would help would be if his amplifier was noisy with a higher gain setting.
