So heres my question. Is there reason everyone says prefab boxes **** is because 95% of the time they dont match your air space requirements correctly or is it the actually quality of the box? Im planning on receiving 2 SA10s soon and have a small prefab box in my closet. The SA10 calls for a .55 cubic feet after displacement. Well the box is a .67 air space box, so will it sound good in or or still crappy because its prefab. Thanks alot, Josh

^was going to ask the same thing. And I believe it is both points that you brought up...both the quality of the product and specs not being specific to your driver(s) are both points of criticism most would give 'prefab' enclosures.

Have you ran a proper ported enclosure? They can be quite nice if designed and built well...

Sealed they will be fine... after you put the SA's in that box itll be about .55

Sealed is fine as long as you make sure the corners are actually air tight.

The reason people dont recommend ported is because you dont know what they are tuned to and often times wont fit your sub.

if you so your own enclusure it'll be cheaper and since you dont like ported it'll be way easier to build yourself

I have a custom built ported slot enclosure for my JBL power 10 tuned to 35Hz. And i have had 2 others, I dont know i just like the sound of sealed enclosures better. I only have a single cab so what noise that is put out is right behind me so it dosnt need to be super loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I just wanted to know if i should have a sealed enclosure built for the it or if this box would be acceptable. Since the air volume matched up and everything.
