pre amp vs headphone jack

Hi

This is a great forum. Question. Is preout or pre amp the same as headphone jack? Can you plug a headphone in a pre out? The reason I am asking is because I want to buy a sound link bluetooth bose mlnl and I want to hard wire it to my motorhome radio, I do not have a headphone jack or preout and bose is telling me that I can't hook it to the speaker output. My friend has a radio with a pre out I would buy it if it would work with a bose sound link.
