I live in Iowa so I'll say I know nothing about hurricanes. But I do know that staying for something this bad, that could possibly kill, and not even having a just cause for doing so... its foolish and selfish, but it no way does it mean they should die. As for respect. I'm kinda in between there. You know how many other people are there risking their own lives to save all these people who knew the storm was coming and still stayed.

yes we tried for days to make them come up here and live with us even, like all paid too, but they said they'd been through "worse" (storm wasn't here yet..) and that they could ride it out. but yes i understand what you mean, but as this is nearly family, i do have to be extremely worried about their well being.

honestly, i'm not a big prayer, the only person i have ever prayed to was my mom (RIP) . but i would like to pray for all those people down there and wish them some luck

i don't pray nearly at all, but when people that i've known for 16 years' lives are in jeopardy, i do have to ask god or whomever it may be for you for some assistance

very sorry for all the people lost in this hurricane.

But what really boggles my mind is these people knew like a week ago that this thing was coming and was going to destroy wherever it was going to hit... and they still decide to stay... I know some of those people couldnt get out of there if they tried but i don't understand the people that could have left and didnt.

That'd be like up here if someone was like, there's gonna be a tornado 2 weeks from now and its gonna run right through your area.... i think i'll just kick it in the house and watch the news to see if i can see myself on TV

Some of you people are assholes that are a complete waste of space and air.

Anyway my condolences go out to the people in the north gulf, especially New Orleans. I have been in a bit of a funk over the whole sittuation and sit and realize and thank God for being so fortunate. My prayers go out to those people.
