PPI phantom or black ice?

I was looking at these mono amps one is a 1000 watts other is 2600, wondering which one is better? Besides the power difference is there anything else I'm missing that would steer me away from one or the other?

phantom is proven to be a decent amp. The BA is overrated to hell.

Just dropped a brand new ba5000 in my truck a few weeks ago and after giving me uneven output levels for a week it krapped out completely on Friday. Dgaf though it was free. Gonna be target practice now lol.

The ba2600.1 is rated for 1300w rms at 1, and probably does 1000-1200 with questionable reliability.

The P1000.1 has been one of the more popular and apparently reliable 1000w 1 ohm amps for a year or two.

Im running the ba 2600.1 at 1 ohm. Ive clamped it. 938 @13.7 volts. It pushes my hds315 fine. On another note I fired my ba1000.4 that is less than 6 months old. Gains were set right running my front stage active. PPI customer service *****, as Ive yet to get an email or phone call back from over 2 weeks ago. All I have is a question, Im not bitching about their products.

Not surprised. 1000-1200 was an optimistic approximation.

im running the ba7000 and its a nice amp for the money.

never had 1 problem with it.

in fact im looking for another one.

it gives my hdc3 a work out...
