zapco ST-1350XM II thoughts????

I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on this amp. It will give me plenty of power at a 4ohm load and at that ohm it shouldn't even break a sweat. It's gonna be running a 12" cvx d2. I know it's not the greatest sub but it was very cheap and almost new. I'll upgrade in the future if needed lol

Finally got it in. It's a very nicely finished amp and pretty heavy for its size. I've got it at 1 ohm on my 12" cvx and the cvx is actually taking it very well. I'll bump the cvx until I get a new box built for a better sub. I haven't clamped it yet, but I'll try to do that soon and get some numbers posted up.

That looks like a pretty nice amp... Where are these zapco amps built and what kinda deal did you get on it?

Give me a few. I've got to take the amp off the board and look at the back. The box don't have anything on it. They go for 299$ and free shipping in several places. I gave 315$ for it from my local shop, I only did this for warranty reasons. The cvx is no test for it though, it just can't take the power.

I don't consider it a budget amp, but it's not a credit card melter either. I like how it puts out 750rms at 4ohms, and it's strappable. The 85% efficiency is another added bonus. I'm kinda getting tired of my cvx though.

Did you get the back off yet? Interested to see the innards

Id bet money it uses good parts. i'm not exactly sure what build house zapco went to for the budget amps but i can assure you they have some of the best engineers in the field. i've never ran across a bad zapco amp.
