PPI DSP-88R for $175?

That looks **** near identical to my 3sixty3. Biggest difference i see is that the rf has bluetooth input. The control knob is also the best iv ever owned... but thats hardly a reason to pay triple. The sq may not be to great for that price though. I say try it, i highly doubt they will sell you a new item without a power cord.

(If they dont you can buy one from rf, i know they have them and the plug looks the same, wire colors will prob be different though.)

Big difference between the two sound wise and tuning wise. Actual build quality(which actually translate to perfomance directly) of internal circuitry and DACs processors. 31 band graphical set EQ vs rockford's parametric EQ where you can select any frequency. Much more refined time alignment controls. The rockford has selectable filter classes for their crossovers which allow for a much more perfect and precise blend of mid, midbass, tweeter and sub. Along with 8 volt preouts vs the ppi's 4 volt preout and a much lower signal to noise ratio.

For an average Joe to entry level SQ enthusiast, the ppi with cirrus logic will do more than they can ever dream of and satisfy their needs marvelously. For moderate to advanced enthusiast the ppi will look like a cheap doorstop. They may look the same but they are completely different in many different ways.
well There's always a ppi/hifonics of everything. Budget gear that works but no where near as good as the real deal but still much better than the other cr@p out there.
well my intent was to get the harmony, i dont see any point in a high end dsp for what i want to do. it goes up past $500 once you get into the quality dsps. i guess what im asking is if its the same as the harmony or if there's any specific differences.
@pickup1 doesnt say anything about no harness, just wasn't sure if it was complete or partial thus the reduced price

so.. am i missing something here, or is this the same dsp as the harmony, and another huge list of dsps, but it's only $175 after the 15% off coupon? primarily concerned that it won't come with the complete wiring harness.

pretty **** cheap
Should come with everything you need. There are a few threads on different forums that reference the unit and that site. You are correct in that this is the same as the Harmony. All are basically dressed up minidsp units. For the average guy, this would have more tuning power than you ever need. Certainly are better units that offer more capability, but for 175 bucks nothing short of catching a deal used matches. Ive seen a few post were a few units took a dump, but not enough that I would be nervous to purchase one.

Exact same thing, Cirrus logic board and software. Just rebaged in a cheaper case that rattles(what guys at diyma complain about 24/7)

I find rockford 3sixty.3s for 280-320 often so its not that bad to find a high dollar DSP. I got the harmony just to try it out and i'm pretty pleased with it for what it costs brand new. Parametric EQ would have satisfied me a lot more though.

is the 3sixty.3 worth the extra money? where can i find it for that price, i guess ebay but i see anywhere from 350-500

FB classifieds. The main classifieds and the rockford classifieds pages. Thats the shipped price i get quoted after bargaining down.
im not on a lot of classifieds groups tbh, even the local ones rarely have dsps lol i put an offer in on a used soundstream harmony for like $100, cant go wrong there.

if anything comes up for around the $250-$300 price let me know i have money ready

call make see witch power harness it comes with.

mine came with just speaker level inputs.

the manual show a harness with 4 rcas on it.

so i ordered that harnes. 25 shippe.

so i would call and make sure .
