Honestly I don't know much about the hifonics...... I bought a bk 1800 and ended up selling it to neighbor kid b4 I had a chance to try it out.. He has it on a C2 audio 15.

if your getting it for the same price, get the brutus elite. Both will do rated, even if the brutus hogs a bit more current, it does more power plain and simple and its easier to sell on craigslist if you want to upgrade in the future. It is also strappable too.

I have ran a Brutus amp and I currently have a bk1800 and I personally like the ppi bk better but that is just me

which model did you run? there's a difference between the regular brz, brx brutus's vs the brutus elites. The Elites are a much more solid amp then their regular lines.

It was a brz model, but like you stated if the op can get them for the same price might as well get a little extra power if it is a solid amp

I already purchased the elite but i was contemplating returning it for the ppi or even spending a little more money and getting a Q2200-1. Would the extra $240 really be worth it?

nope not really, dont waste any money unless your going for a SQ 3500.1D. That few hundred rms will not be audibly noticeable. If your ears are really trained then you might hear a little difference with the efficiency but as stated before, not worth double the price, your at severe diminishing returns at that stage.

You could however, sell the brutus for 220 or something on craigslist and get a used Q 2200.1d for 300, shelling out 80 bucks is pretty worth, but not 240

Cool thanks for the advice, i was looking for a used Q2200 but couldnt find one at the moment but ill keep em in mind if i ever see one ill sell my hifonics and get that. Thanks!
