I finally found and picked up a PPI Art series 600 in black. Owner tells me he had it running 2 old series 1 JL 12's at which time I assumed he was running it in stereo. I get all the way home and decide to verify how he had it wired. I know I should have asked before the purchase //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nerd.gif.c6fa51ddf7ff75f1c0371fbc648f70ae.gif anyway he says "bridged" so I ask the ohm rating of his subs to which he answers, "4 ohm." UGGGH So he was running a 2 ohm bridged load to an amp that is only supposed to be bridged at 4-ohms. He also adds that he ran it this way for almost a year. He tells me it never shut down or had any issues. Since the warranty sticker is in place I am afraid to open it up to check out the internals. When I got home, I tested it in stereo and then bridged. It sounded amazing. So my question is; should I be concerned about the fact it was run 2-ohms bridged even though its only supposed to be run 4-ohm bridged? Is there any way to check for issues without breaking the warranty seal? If this is a dumb question I will apologize in advance.
