Powering MTX

I'm trying to find a decent amp to power 3 sealed 10" MTX 8000 subwoofers. subs are 4 ohms singleVC, 400 watts rms.

Im still fairly new to this but does 3 4Ohm subs = 1.33 ohm finals ohm load? and if so im thinkin an HIFONICS BX1500D would be a good match? or is thier somthing better. i really dont want to spend more then 250$ unless i have no choice. thanks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/peace.gif.2db28b618ed8d1964ebbe2f5021d2c39.gif

Yes, (3) 4 ohm subs wired parallel would yield a 1.33 ohm load. In my opinion a Hifonics BX1500D would power them very well. I used a BX1500D on my Crystal 15 and it pounded the life out of it. I think you would be pleased.

I used one of my Crystal 15's in a setup similar to his, tuned @35hz, with the Brutus 1500D. It seemed to extract every bit of capability out of that sub.

It was awnry! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wacky.gif.cf4a48f9e6dfe9504ffd2c946fd2f340.gif
