Powering DLS comps & coaxial

So, i wouldnt blow them or distort them with too much power? Is that amount of overhead a good thing?
Solution:

Set the gain so at maximum non-clipping HU output the speakers are not displaying signs of stress. I suggest using pure tones at the lower end of their range to provide a "worst case" scenario for this setup procedure. Say they are crossed at 50 Hz use a tone at like 55 Hz or so. Do not use volume higher than this level on the HU and you will never damage the speakers.

So, basically its safe to say just dont play my music 75% of max volume

Are there any other options instead of the JL 450/4, open to suggestions with comparable quality and performance. Wanted to see if there were cheaper options than the JL amp.

As you will soon learn young Jedi, power is a very good thing to have:yumyum: And that 450/4 will serve you well!!
I know that that JL 450/4 will be a good choice, but do you guys think that two 2ch amps will work as good if not better than the JL. I was looking at the Arc Audio series either KAR or XXK.

A pair of those certainly wouldnt be "cheaper" than the 450/4
Well i could get both Arc KAR (400.2, 200.2) for $450 total, and i cant seem to find the JL 450/4 for less than that. I havent used either brand but it seems to me Arc amps are better in quality and sound, i think. Any input???

So back to the question at hand, 2 2ch arc audio amps (KAR series) or JL 450/4. Would there be any sound difference or is one better than the other? Open to other options.
