Powering 12" alpine X

Hello everybody. Since noone wants to buy my sub, or gives me reduculous prices on it, I have decided to just put it in my car. I don't want to buy new amp for it, but use the old one I have which gives 2x200@4ohms rms (california amps ca800) and since alpine is DVC 4ohms then its the only configuration I can have. Btw alpine sub is 1000 rms, will this huge underpowering give me bad results or not?

i heard uderpowering an X wont give them the best reaults so id put it in a small seald box with only that much power

Quit being a cheap *** and buy a new amp

you could do a large ported enclosure which you would not have to give it as much power just set the gains right and dont clip the amp.

The typex is very inefficient, and that wont be nearly enough to power it. You might as well just keep it out of your car if thats the only power you have.

hell yea. over power them, port them and they should crack your skull a bit..........or they might pound pretty good.
