Powerbase (powerbass) Xs series

I used to have a black basket powerbase xs and a chrome basket powerbass one was a year older before they changed name or w/e. Anyway the chrome basket one blew on about 750 rms and the black is still beating to this day on about 1100 (4 years later) I can only find the chrome basket xs 10's, can anyone chime in if the chrome basket xs's are sucky and cant handle power? Ive heard this from a couple people, and i experienced the same, but the chrome xs's are pretty cheap now $$.

the black ones were better. the chrome one or the v2 was not built as well imo. i think they went for more bling than performance.

i have had 3 of the v1 12"s and 2 of the v2 15"s. 2 of my v1'1 still work and the other has a warped coil so just sounds scratchy at lower volumes but is a great burp sub. before i pulled it out i had 1500 watts going to it and it was very happy with it

I thought they were better too, im just trying to find a pair for cheap.

the chrome 10" goes for $150, but i dont want it to blow on 750w.

Think i might try 4 10" evo's instead, they never did me wrong...

But ill keep ya in mind if ya want to get rid of the pair of black ones.
