Power Wire?

I am trying to determine what size power wire I will need to run. The power wire will be roughly 12ft +/- 1ft. I was set on using 4awg but after doing some research, i am now contemplating 2awg. My system will consist of:

Planet Audio tt850d - 600w @ 2 ohm powering RE SE10 (600w rms)

Audison SRX 2s - 2x200w @ 4ohm powering Hertz HSK 165 (125w rms)

Do you guys think that 4awg will be sufficient? The only thing that may change is i might upgrade the Planet Audio to an Audison SRX 1D (850x1@2ohm).

Lets hear some opinions.

if you just put in as big as you can afford now it will save you when you get addicted and start going louder later. I always think I'm dun and don't need more then get bored and add more. Its like crack you wont stop. The 2 gauge can handle that current but why not just go 1/0 it looks bad *** and most terminals and fuse holders fit it nice. If you do it now you just won't have to do it later.

I'd rather have too much than not enough. I'd consider 2ga the min, especially if you're considering an upgrade.

Ok so i think you've talked me into into the 1/0. I cant find the 2awg hardly anywhere and it makes since in case i do upgrade.

But i have to ask.....what type of fuse should i go with? Knukonceptz offers 60a, 80a, 100a, 120a, 150, 200 & 250. I have no idea which to get?? Any help?

If you're fusing the distro block, you can go with the 250A. If not go with the 150A to protect the 4ga wire. 150A will be plenty big for the system either way.
