i am holding and using xxv until amp is paid in full

Output voltage on your amplifier is much higher than the 12-14v input that it receives. For this reason, the output wires (speaker wires) can be significantly smaller gauge and still display no harmful resistance to the circuit.

If you think you are running anything over 12 ga speaker wire for any reason other than aesthetics, you are just fooling yourself. Major SPL competitors excluded.
