power wire help

i have some questions on power wire i need with my amps,

amps are 2 nine.1 and 2 nine.2

what do you recommend for how many runs i should do,or would one run of 4/0 of welding cable do good enough,for batteries i have 2 optima 34 batteries,i also got a 240 amp alt.
