power vs ground

ok i ordered some new wire, they didnt have anything sold by foot except speaker wire and power wire, so i got 1ft of 4gauge power wire to use as a ground wire, can i do this?

What? Stupid '07ers. What are you grounding... and what the hell else wpuld you use to ground said component. Sure, if youre grounding maybe a messed up tail light it would be a bit overkill, but functional... but if yorue grounding say a kinetik 2400 or a memphis 4kw amp... no. Be more specific.

If you mean that it is labeled as power wire than yes you can use it for ground. Just make sure you are using the same gauge that you are for power.

its ok if the ground is larger than the power, I should have been more specific. But you may want to upgrade to 4 ga power in the near future. And if possible drill a 3/4" in the firewall and put in a grommet and you will be good to go, just make sure it is clear on both sides.
