power question??

Im comparing 2 amps right now: Kenwood 600w (kac-7295) and the MTX 4122.

the mtx is a little under powered, kenwood pushes 300w bridged opposed to 200w for the MTX, but what really gets me is the rms for kenwood is 100w X 2 compared to the 30w X 2 for mtx.

I know rms is important and the numbers for mtx look low. Please give me some explanation for me, is this a weak amp?? Would it pound an impp 12'??
