Power Problems, PLEASE HELP :(

When I was hooking my amp up, I had everything in working order. Then I went to mount my amp and everything, including my deck shut down. The ground wire to the amp may have become disconnected, but in any case, even without the amp's 12v remote turn on wire connected I cannot get my head unit to power on. What are some possible solutions?

Check the fuse for one.

Im sorry for failing to include that, I've already checked all the fuses, and all are in working order

Disconnect all wiring that exists between the amp & deck. Use a test light to make sure you really do have good fuses (check to make sure you have voltage at the deck)

I'm not sure if i have voltage at the deck. When the face is off, the red security light blinks which to me would indicate that there is some power being fed to the deck. On the other hand even with all amp wires disconnected, the deck will not power up.

Use the test light to check, if you don't have one, buy one becuase you shouldn't go any installs without one really. A test light (or a DMM) is a very essential troubleshooting tool.

also forgot to mention that Im an idiot and the deck was on the whole time that this happened. Could that change things.
