Power Problem

this is where a digital multi-meter (DMM) is required to verify voltage at the red ignition wire, yellow battery wire, and black ground wire. all three are required for the head unit to turn on. measuring voltage will also check the fusing.

if any of the speaker wires are shorted, it might not turn on.

 
Try hooking the 12v power and the ignition wire from the back of the headunit to the illumination wire off the wiring harness.

Its what I had to do in my car with my old sony I had
