power in amp with no wire?

ok, i took the fuse out, and unplugged everything from my amp. after plugging everything back in and putting the fuse back in the amp wont turn on. i put the dmm on the amp's power and ground terminals and its reading 12volts. even when ive unplugged the power wire, ground wire, and remote wire. how is this possible?

also, before i tested it with the dmm, and it still wasnt working, i pulled the power wire out of the amp without first remembering to remove the fuse. but the power wire didnt arc or anything like it should have.

so when the h.u. is on my remote wire should have 12v in it?

cuz it doesnt say it has anything in it, but it was working before

Yes, when the HU is on, the remote wire should read 12v, try taking a peice of wire from the power lead to you amp in the terminal and putting it in the remote lead.

Dont leave it like this either, it will drain your battery. Just do it to test the amp.
