i have used them for years they are ok. most of there amps are over rated. if you looking to run 2 channels then there good i dont know about 1 ohm

I like profile man. As long as you look at the RMS they put out cheap, clean power and the amps are extremely reliable.

The durability of profile is nothing like the durability of pyramid or power acoustik. Profile is mucm much more reliable.

That said. Power Acoustik has a few lines that do decent power, but not the amount they are advertised as. The durability of their product seems to be hit and miss. I have had a chance to play with a few power acoustiks and I found them to be hit in miss in the reliability department, and ok for some budget power as long as you dont get sucked into the peak ratings. Their most notable models are the PA3000BD (1800/2400 as well)

I think they're ok too. I meant they are cheap in price. It's good budget stuff and yes, I hear that they do put out rated power. I'd run it.

all the mono blocks in the same series as the a2400db and the a3000db are solid, rated, built like tanks, and outperform simular more exspensive amps. i've played with these amps many-o-times and they've impressed the hell out of me. especially the a3000db.

the rest of the entire power acoustik brand rather it be subs, amps, whatever......ussually garbage.

What about the BAMF line? would that be a decent amp?

I need about 2000wrms @ 1ohm. I plan on buying the BAMF-4000D or the 5500D to compensate for the over-rating.

The 5500D does over 2k. Nice amps for the money.

Bamf is one of there better amps. In Germany The are called Soundstream Van Gogh II's

If your lookin for a cheap 2000x1ohm RMS amp I LUB my soundstream TRXD2000, Under $400 on the bay

Be carefull of the 5500D, I think it has screw type power terminals, I have trouble thinking it turns 14.4V into 2000 (let alone the rated 3200) through a screw clamp. I could be wrong though, I have been in the past.
