Power Acoustik A3000DB?

Alright so it takes 4awg, 2awg if i stuff it in there, but does anyone know the current draw of these amps. How efficient they are because i have heard a number of times they will do 2kw's i was wondering how much of a strain they are on electrical.

I can't tell you exactly, but I can tell you if you're looking for 2000w there aren't many more efficient than the PA design.

The Lanzar Optidrive 2000D isn't identical, but it's real close. One of the car audio mags ran it through their tech. dept and if I remember right it was ~85% doing 1900w+ at 1/2 ohm.

I would think the PA is a slight step down from the Opti, but thier eff. #'s ought to be comparable.

Once upon a time when I actually asked Power Acoustik tech support, they told me with an input voltage of 13.8 the amplifier will pull 180 amps of current. I have also owned numerous A3000's and done numerous installs with them. For the money, you can't buy anything better IMHO.
