How good are the power acoustic subwoofers compared to the Alpine type-R subwoofers, and how good are those? I know they are popular right now.

More specifically the power acoustik mofo is what I was looking at. I was also wondering would it be better to put 2 tens in or just one 12. Whats the differance between the two sizes?

I'd rather get the R's, if your choices are between those two subs.

well because I don't know much about subs, why the type R's. Oh and I was looking at the alpines' and how are the Alpine SWX-1242D Car Subwoofer's?

the Type R's will do twice as much, with half the power..

the MOFO's are an inferior design, from a build, and output standpoint..

1. type-x sq sub doesn't get louder then a type-r is installs are correct

2. 2 10"s over 1 12" as long as you have the power and a correct install to run them

3. type-r is a better sub all around compared to a mofo. Mofo's can get extremely loud as well as a type-r but alpines sq will well lets just say crap all over the mofo's sq.

Alpines will sound better and can get just as loud off half the power. So do the R's out of those choices.
