power acoustic? good or bad

im considering a power acoustic amp for my mids n highs. it is 300x2@4 ohms. im just wondering if this is a good brand to go with?

Is it the LT series or the Plasma Series? I have never tried the Plasma but the Lt are great. I only run the Gothic Series though. I would go with the OV2-1600 it's only 310x2 @ 4ohms. I run my subs at 2 ohm so it will sound a little different but I love Power Acoustik.

i got the plasma series. the 360 rms bridge @4ohm. its a great amp for the money. i got it powering a audiobahn 400rms sub and i think the amp is to much for it. its gets hot but it never turns off. i think it is one of the best budget amps out thier.

IMO Power Acoustik is like said above, perfectly mediocre. I've had their Gothic series amps and I thought very highly of them. I wouldn't stray too close to their entry level stuff if I were you though.

I'm running two of those amps and haven't ever had a lick of problems with them. One has been in for about a year and a half and the other about 6 months. Plus I got them for $90 each brand new.

im on my 3rd PA. the first one i blew cuz i didnt know how to wire a dvc sub. the 2nd one, i didnt have stuff in my trunk secured down, battery and amp slid around, something touched, it blew =/

now i have the new 25th anniversary 4 channel, sl4-1000 its been absolutely great. its powering 6 speakers atm with less than half gain on all channels. got it super cheap as well. like everyone says they ARE perfectly mediocre. your not gonna get advanced features, and the gain/crossover knobs dont even have visual displays. but they are great on a budget.
