absolutely. the push button style grill ignitor. word to the wise. DO NOT USE LACQUER THINNER IN A POTATO GUN. KABBOOM!!!!!!

Make a 1:1.3 Barrel Volume to Combustion Chamber Volume Ratio.

Longer barels mean migger chambers which mean faster potatos

Are you looking at making a pneumatic or combustion potato gun?

Ive got the stuff to make a hybrid but I never got around to doing it.

Make sure to use PRESSURE RATED sch40 PVC too.

Oh and Grill Piezo lighters work great if you use 2" screws as electrodes and 4" PVC for the cumbustion chamber.

Once you go pneumatic, you'll never use igniters again...

pneumatic is safer as well.

Pneumatic has problems such as fast acting valves and portability. And you can get just as far (or further) with a good propane spud gun.

Once you go hybrid you will never go back.

heres what a potato gun needs...

stungun ignition...

direct propane injection (metered via syringe or some wierd exotic setup)

a ventilation fan on the outisde of a check valve to vent to chamber after firing.

a mixing fan inside the chamber

and umm... thats it. lol.
