does anybody see this pic because i cant lol must have done something wrong been one of those days
Exactly!!!I have never owned a tuner or "ricer;" mostly V-8 pickups, but why does it matter how the power is made? Turbo, supercharger, NA. Power is being put to the pavement and thats what makes a car go. Power is power.
With the government stepping in with new regulations, we won't be driving much V-8 American muscle. Ford has already came out with their twin turbo 6 cylinder F-150. Others will soon follow and that TT F-150 spanks other V-8 1/2 tons in its class.
It does have some lag just cuz those "little turbos" are almost 90 milsthat is sweeeet! takes 2 turbo's compressing enough air to spool that bad boy! I would love to here the antilag system on that
Sounds like riding a 2 stroke, which is awesome. Finally see some power at like 10k rpm but when it comes on its a hell of a ride. I actually have a little respect for supras, they are pretty quick, and i guess the straight 6 is a tough motor. I know fords 6 is, not sure about the taotao one just guessing.how do you like the lacking of a powerband? reach full boost by 6k, shift at 7.5k/8k? supra's have terrible head flow.
8.4 second 1/4 mile with a car weighing inat 5kand some change....it is supercharged but still. if i did a fiberglass body and did away with the heavy stuff itd be even better. still street legal. tuners are fun and cool too but i agree.....and dont get me started on top fuel'
Try taking the turbo off then racing some american cars. Or race some turbo V8s and see how that pans out for you. Comparing turbo to N/A isnt really a good comparison. Small motors have their place, but its not for performance, its for saving gas. Big motors make big power, period. More reliable is a bonus as well.
