lol. If you figured up the price per pound of our deer meat, it would be outrageous. All the equipment, gas money, license, etc adds up to a rather large sum of cash each year.

Perfect example. I am leaving Saturday to go hunting in South Dakota for turkey. We can kill 1 turkey a piece. It would be over $100/ pound for the turkey meat if we both bag birds.

We are going for the experience and a chance to add another subspecies to collection while working on our Grand Slam. A Grand Slam is when you bag all 4 subspecies of wild turkey in the U.S.

I cant believe you are coming all the way up here to try and get a turkey but haven't come pheasant hunting.

where i come from hunting was a big deal. i had pale skin so i was the prey. never was able to adapt to the habitat like my darker predators

Got the eastern where I live and a Rio in Texas last spring.. So i have half of it. After I get my Merriam's in South Dakota, I will only have the Osceola in Florida left. Hey, I could care less, I am 260 pounds, so what, I still can run a 4.75 in the 40. Down only a few 10ths when I was in high school. My weight has never effected my health one ioda. My back is fuxored from lifting the wrong way well at work one day and just screwed it up.

Still, at least one thing is for sure, you will always be a hilljack!
