this would be the first time i've ever had to shop for one. i got this bed off my former boss for 250. witch is a steal for a really nice bed like this. but it's 8 years old (to me) and it's starting to get a couple of leaks i just can't get fixed. i liked the few pillow tops i've been on. i'll tell ya though. the sleep number bed has a freakin 20 year warranty. thats longer than allmost any car.

this would be the first time i've ever had to shop for one.

this will undoubtedly be your worst shopping experience ever... mattress shopping is not fun.

find a style/brand/type of mattress you like, and then find some that are similar. if you go to a shop and tell you they will beat anyones price, dont believe them. they have loopholes to get around that, and they will do it everytime (every mattress store names their mattresses differently...). find a good price and financing option, and find a store that you like.

hope that helps a little bit, mattress shopping was a whole new experience for me when i had to do it...
