Got 200+ races under my belt with no incidents ever, but I did retire 2 years ago as the young kids just don't have a ****ing clue and it's too dangerous now as this story proves.

It is pretty insane that a 60yo guy is out there with his daughter and grandkid...

hahaha

made my day... i lol'd

Most of the issues I've run into building systems w/ Vista x64 is soundcard drivers ... Vista x64 has an x86 emulation layer, so it's still fully compatible w/ 32-bit programs other than those which require direct access to the kernal (i.e. anti-viruses, firewalls, etc.) ... Performance is perfectly fine and the OS is very tweakable (I got my Vista install down to 26 background processes including AV while retaining all the networking and peripheral functionality I need).

XP 64-bit has far less support currently and will not have the future support that Vista x64 will have ...

Also, SP1 is due out any day now ... and lawl at an 8800 GT being comparable to an 8800 GTX ...

you should google some gadgets. Looks like you just have the default ones. There's some pretty decent ones out there...
Yeah I have had a bunch ended up going back to all stock with the exception of the weather channel one so I can see the 10 day forecast //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I would love to see something multiplayer like tic-tac-tor or hangman just simple shit to kill time I spend 70+ hours a week in front of the computer.

you could try 64-bit xp....or vista but id get ultimate if i were you and hash alot of the bogus shit it installs.
its too bad you bought the gtx already....the 8800GT's are a way better bang for you buck lol nearly thr same performance as the gtx..
nearly the same performance? are u smoking crack..yes nearly the same when you run 2 GT's in SLI vs 1 gtx....

also get vista i have a similar computer to the one your building and vista runs just fine on it with 1000 things open at the same time:D

i lawl at you, play crysis? my gt does fine very high settings with DX10 tweak at 1680x1050 and i average 35-45 fps....

i take it you guys havent looked at any of the stats for comparisons between the 2...the only advantage the GTX has over the GT is it performs better at higher resolution and supports Anti-Aliasing and antitroptic horse shit better...thas all my GT has scored better in 3dmark 06 than some GTX's out there....

but see then i have this question:

i'm fairly good with building systems, but not the best..

couldnt i technically keep this internal HDD w/ win xp pro, buy a second internal and install vista to that, and just use vista normally, and for compatibility issues switch over to the xp hard drive?

i also have a 500 gig external by usb so i could store all my media on that so there's easy access on each OS?

and i voided my order anyway, wanted to remove the memory from the order - not possible, so i had to void the entire thing..

waiting for the refund in 2-3 days, then going to re-order.

i'm still thinking to stick with GTX as it's on sale for 409 at newegg with 50 mail in rebate... $360 for an eVGA 8800GTX isnt bad at all..

Oh. Mah. God.
We are going to need more pics than that.
x2

No. That doesn't start until the final 2 weeks. Her ***** have grown quite a bit though.
As for deerhunt's comment...her stomach is only big because she is pregnant. Otherwise she would not be your type.

BTW she is taller than she looks in the pics. 6'0"!!

Nice catch. WTH did she see in you?
Family entertainment right there.

Im having trouble with my thumbnail previews.

I have tried clearing/rebuilding the thumbnail cache, turned on thumbnail preview, checked/unchecked what I needed to.

Ive done this numerous times and yet I still cannot preview thumbnails. Whether it be jpegs, gifs, avis, wmvs etc.

I also noticed that my files do not end in .jpg, .gif, .avi, .wmv when trying to view as thumbnails.

Can anyone help?

thanks!

P.S.

I have Windows Vistas Premium
