if you wanna go with 4 gigs of ram (which is pointless) you will need a 64-bit OS unless you want to make some changes in the registry and what not. Theres a REALLY cheap pair of 2x1 GSkills and they are the bomb, ive got them and there only 50 bucks now and they easily do 1100mhz (at least mine do) OVERCLOCK FTW!

Also, i think you should just go with an 8800GT (eVGA preferably) its almost 200 dollars cheaper and its the G92 core smaller dye and runs alot cooler and perform smaybe 4% less than the GTX. Now if your going to be gaming at resolution of higher than 1680x1050 then you would want to get the GTX.

exactly vista sucks, its incompatible with nearly everything older than the OS itself, and if you do go with vista get the 4 gig so f ram and the 64-bit os youll need the extra ram....

I have been running Vista 64 on a cheap P35MB, Intel 6750, 4GB G.Skill (same as yours) and a Radeon 3850 and love it. The only issue I had was with no having ZoneAlarm as there is no 64bit option everything else runs fine including games.

switch to xp and youll notice your games play a whole shit load better. its proven that in vista your gaming performance is decreased roughly 15-35% compared to xp. I read something about that in the past but i cant find it now.

but see a lot of reviews i've read from not-so-dumb experts on systems say that 64 bit increases performance and as of early 08 a lot of incompatibility issues have been addressed..

already bought the GTX and memory assuming i was going to switch to 64 regardless, my main concern is XP Pro or Vista...

32 bit is going by the wayside... or already has...

your hardware selection looks good, you could probably spend a few extra bucks and get the IP35 Pro Abit board its what i have and ive got my E6600 overclcoked to 3.6 ghz stable.

you could try 64-bit xp....or vista but id get ultimate if i were you and hash alot of the bogus shit it installs.

its too bad you bought the gtx already....the 8800GT's are a way better bang for you buck lol nearly thr same performance as the gtx..
