Sorry if this should be in H/T, I wasn't sure. Falls into both I guess.

I got my power supply today, got bored, and did this in my apartment..can't hook up the sub until tomorrow though... but just wondering how many other people in here do this? If you do, post your pics, pretty fun way to waste some time outside of the car..especially when it's this cold. Sub is out of the car due to hauling snowboards and such. When it gets warmer I'd like to build some bookshelves using some daytons and make some sort of housing for the PS and head unit..but for now this is good. I also might put my 4150xxk on the 2 speakers I have set up now..can't use either of the Arc's till I get my new car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

2100XXK, only going to send the D2 360@4 ohms or somewhere in that ballpark..Hopefully it'll get it moving at least a little.

One of the 2 OLD Bose 210's..sound pretty good off the HU amp, I was surprised.

Where the sub will be once I get the torx bit to remove the screws to switch it to 4 ohm (also my table for the winter)

Undecided. It's mint except for the plastic piece came off the end of the GPS antenna while I was taking it all out, that pissed me off pretty bad. Still works though. All my original boxes and manuals for it are at my house about an hour and a half away, won't be picking them up for a while. If you're seriously interested and can wait a week or 2, shoot a pm my way.

seriously though, Ive never done that but always wondered how it would work, how do you regulate the voltage going to the headunit and amp(s)? Im a total noob when it comes to home audio, i have a nice setup but its nothing special

That calculator has gotten me through some tough times..

This PS is 12-15V, it's adjustable through the large knob you see. Theres a volt gauge that shows your voltage, and i just set it around 14. The gauge on the left shows how many amps you're drawing.

About 24, hell yeah. Miles is a *****.

i hear ya on the calculator, im using one from high school i think, it works, thats my reasoning, ya know. Ahh ok now I see what youre sayin, thats cool, always wondered if there was a product out there like that, good stuff to know.

Ive got a older kenwood receiver, sony cd changer(5 disc), sony dvd player, 2 cerwin vega floor standing speakers(they each have a 12" woofer, midrange and tweeter), but I think I could use some more power, I dont think that receiver puts out enough, but it gets kinda loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Haha..you have much to learn..

Some reason I can't remember, but I think his wife is dead. His daughter (Kim) still thinks he's dead and Audrey (his most recent woman) still thinks he's dead too. Miles is the guy that just fired Karen Hayes, what a douche.

arent home audio speakers suppose to be cheaper than car audio, but i think some loudspeakers for the house would be great since there arent that many limiting factors.

If you're referring to the Bose, these speakers are 17 years old..Just been passed down in the family and still work decent.

You can't use both positive and negative sets on that power supply. You can only use one set. The other set is to connect another power supply so it could work as one.

Whaaat seriously? The amp powers up fine..will running them on both sets ruin anything? May as well pick up a cheap distro from the wal-mart up here..

It may ruin it. But that's the way those power supplies run.

btw: Why do you have your voltage so low? Turn it up all the way.

Well ****, hopefully it didn't **** anything up, I just bought this amp. Thanks for the advice, I didn't wanna turn up the voltage too high I guess. Should I use the set of terminals on the right like you did? Or on the left closer to the center of the PS
