Lol, I would post pics, but it looks like i have to go back to that design for this year too. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Unless i really make a new breakthrough design or something, then i'd post pics of the box i used last year.

Besides, i never took pics of the SPL box. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

djman is 1 6 inch aero port enough per 15, isnt that only like 30 sqin of port per sub
Port area should be calculated for the box, not for the driver //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

12-15 sq.in. per cu.ft. is a good rule. 2 6" aeros are plenty.

So if you tune your box higher, for example going from 33 hz to 40 40 would be louder?i have always been confused about this?
Yes but you will loose a lot of sound quality tunning that high. It gets to a point that the box is no longer made for music, rather just for burps (to make noise). I wouldn't tune higher than 35hz for daily driving. If you don't compete then don't worry about it.
Higher tunning= More SPL, Less SQ

Lower tunning= Less SPL, Better SQ

just make sure you delete the pics he posted as well if ya don't mind.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Pics were deleted for this reason...

Title of thread 'Post pics of your 150dB+ systems'

That was not his system to post. Pics are gone.

I have a question for you...I see in your avatar you have four MTXs facing up with the ports facing up. Have you ever metered it in another position? Such as subs facing the trunk and ports too? Subs facing the front?
only 2 of them i tested subs back. alittle above 46's on audiocontrol.. I didnt have a TL handy when i had that box, sorry.

that box in the avatar never got metered. the only boxes metered were CRX style.

now my boy has a TL handy, i will deff be doing alot of testing..

I can still see them.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Nothing I'd ever want to use though as I don't ever plan on owning a trunk car.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
